2236 Lady Cornwall Drive - Lewisville, TX  75056 (Castle Hills Neighborhood) - As you come upon this Castle Hills home, the outdoor decorations will certainly get you into the Holiday spirit.  Throughout this home there are twelve Christmas trees -- all with a different theme;.  Over the years the trees have grown and new ornaments get added to each tree every year.  Some of the family's favorite trees are the “Travel Tree” and the University of Washington Huskies tree. Each tree represents part of the family’s experiences over the years, and each of the many ornament bring back special memories from the past.

 

 

1731 Pecan Grove  - Carrollton, TX  75007 (The Homestead Neighborhood) - The Homeowners fell in love with the Homestead neighborhood built their Victorian style home there. Be prepared to step back into Victorian time as this home is filled with period antiques, collections, and vintage light fixtures. Their love for antiques can be seen throughout the home. From the beautiful oak fretwork leading into the parlor, to the Haywood Wakefield wicker furniture in the sun room, this home is truly one of a kind. The Homeowners have incorporated both vintage and modern Holiday decorations through this antique wonderland, including four Christmas trees, each decorated in a different style. 

 

 

 3135 Brookhollow Drive - Farmers Branch, TX  75234 is located on a gently curving, ‘country like’ road on the southern half of a redeveloped lot in Farmers Branch.  The exterior was designed in a stylized Italian style with a clay tile roof accented with copper details and arched, dark bronze front doors and windows that contrast with the smooth plaster walls. The L-shaped floor plan is oriented with the sun’s location and climate in mind. The Living Room is a main feature of the home with large arched window that frame an outdoor fountain surrounded by a shaded garden.  Tall French doors open to a surrounding stone terrace that overlooks intimate gardens and outdoor living spaces including a trellised bar, along with an additional outdoor living area located outside the Master Bedroom.

 

 

 

 3156 Brookhollow Drive - Farmers Branch, TX  75234 is a “net zero energy” house that produces as much energy as it uses. In the past two summers the homeowners  have accumulated kilowatt credits in the summer months (that means a negative electric bill!) and in their first year have paid less than $100 per month for electricity in this almost 5,000 square foot home. Basic design features of the single-story U-shape building includes glass tiles, recycled paper and plastic countertops, native hardwoods on  the floors and counters., lots of windows to maximize natural lighting and a sealed steel roof with no attic to deflect instead of trap heat.  There is also a rain catchment system to water the lawn! 

 

 

 

3162 Spur Trail - Farmers Branch, TX  75234 - This Mediterranean influenced house has Spanish Eclectic origins.  Elaborate Spanish-American detailing adds charm creating an exciting facade.  Details include specially designed shutters, stone and tile accents on the chimneys and gables, cedar columns/beams and brackets.  A stone walled Southwest style courtyard creates a front yard entertaining  area, while a  detached rear yard casita carries out the Southwest flavor.  This building has its own private covered porch which can be used for guest quarters, changing facilities and as well as a bar for entertaining.
