The Civic League was founded in 1963 and dedicated to community service.   We  provide financial support to the cities, schools and community at large. We promote philanthropic, educational and social work, thereby improving the quality of life for all citizens. We strive to fill unmet needs by initiating new services and expanding existing ones.

  

The Foundation manages corporate and individual designated funds with an annual budget of nearly $100,000. To date, over $2.3 million has been returned to the local community in grants and scholarships.

 

Grants are provided to local organizations after a complete grant proposal and investigation.

  

 

The Civic League's Scholarship Program distributes over $50,000 each year to qualifying students. Need based, they include both academic and job skills training. Students may re-apply for continuing support.

 

We had a tremendous need in 2010.  We interviewed over 100  applicants and awarded 25 scholarships to some very deserving individuals. Some of them conquered substantial obstacles and made enormous sacrifices to stay in school keep their grades up. It is extremely gratifying to help these students that have worked so hard.
